About the Team

As a potential job applicant, you would be part of the NDB System Test QA team at Nutanix, where you will work alongside a distributed group of professionals dedicated to ensuring the final quality of the Nutanix Database Service (NDB). This team, which serves as customer zero for the DBaaS product, operates at scale to replicate customer solutions with enterprise workloads. The team embodies a small, dynamic, and collaborative culture that values open exploration of ideas and close collaboration with the development community. You will have the opportunity to directly influence the NDB product by utilizing both UI and API testing methods to ensure a seamless customer experience.

You will report to the Senior Director of Engineering and work in a hybrid setup, requiring you to be in the office for 2 days a week. This flexible working arrangement allows for a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work, fostering a productive environment for team engagement and innovation. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this position, providing stability and focus on your primary responsibilities within the team.

 

Your Role

  • Lead QA efforts for major features in NDB
  • Drive test planning, automation, and execution
  • Interact with development team for bug resolution
  • Drive towards customer delight in the product
  • Hands-on role requiring self-motivation and autonomy
  • 5+ years of test experience
  • Experience with linux system management and debugging
  • Proficient in writing code using APIs
  • Experience with databases (Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)

  • Experience writing APIs Driven Automations
  • Experience working with databases
  • Experience writing test automation code in Python and/or Go
  • Experience with Jira or other ticket tracking solution
  • Experience with storage, networking, and virtualization products
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 136,800 and USD $ 273,600 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
